OWN believes that insider ownership provides a more accurate reflection of company performance. Unlike the traditional indices, which selects securities based on market-cap, the funds index measures the performance of shares owned by company insiders. It uses a companys DEF 14A proxy filing to determine the number of insider shareholdings and applies a 5% insider-shares cap to compute companies with the highest value. The top 100 stocks from the S&P 500 are then selected based on insider ownership value, as calculated by the index, and are weighted in the same manner. The fund uses a full replication strategy but may also hold financial instruments, including cash and short-term US government securities, for liquidity, collateral, and portfolio management purposes. The Index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly.
