BICO Group AB engages in the provision of technologies, products, and services to create, understand, and master biology. It operates through the following segments: Bioprinting, Biosciences, Bioautomation, and Group. The Bioprinting segment includes 3D bioprinters and bioinks with a wide range of technologies for different demanding applications, resolutions, and volume and speed requirements, as well as services focused on accelerating drug discovery and development with advanced tissue imaging and cell culture services. The Biosciences segment focuses on supplying advanced lab instrumentation and smart workflow connectivity software to analyze data from applications in cell culture, cell imaging, cell sorting, and sample preparation for different analytics such as genomics. The Bioautomation segment offers scientific instruments and solutions for scalable manufacturing of diagnostics, as well as consumables to enable single-cell and other workflows. The company was founded by Erik Paul Gatenholm and Hector Daniel Martinez Avila in March 2015 and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.
